You seem to be operating under the assumption that this article is defending the entire platform/manifesto, and Marxism more generally, despite the fact that I specifically said otherwise.
Also, if I couldn’t acknowledge the existence of universal truths, I wouldn’t be a Christian. There’s nothing more universal than “there is a God, and that God loves me (and you, for that matter).”
I’m talking specifically about the issue of the nuclear family, and using that to suggest, more broadly, that people should not take short phrases out of context (as, ironically, many Christians often do with the Bible).
I find it actually pretty affirming to my overall point that nowhere in this comment do you counter the meat of my argument vis-a-vis the nuclear family structure… it’s as if you are trying to delegitimize it by pointing out the shortcomings of the manifesto writ large. From my vantage point, that’s fallacious thinking.
